Indy Star: Survey Finds Broad Support For Education Overhaul

Stand For Children, a non-profit that supports an overhaul of education policy, released the results of its survey in the Indianapolis Star:

“People who live within Indianapolis Public Schools’ boundaries are dissatisfied and embrace the idea of major changes to their school system — but no more so than Marion County residents who live outside IPS. The survey revealed that 78 percent of respondents in IPS would prefer “major changes” or a “whole new approach” when it comes to their public schools. In other parts of Marion County served by township districts, however, 74 percent of respondents said the same thing — a difference that was within the survey’s margin of error.”
