Indy Star: 'IPS Superintendent Eugene White A Candidate For Two Out-of-State Jobs'

    Star education reporter Scott Elliott writes the Indianapolis superintendent, who’s often clashed with state officials over numerous issues, is having thoughts of leaving town:

    Indianapolis Public Schools Superintendent Eugene White acknowledged Thursday he is a candidate for superintendent in Mobile, Ala., and Greenville, S.C. White said he was contacted by recruiters in both cases and agreed to allow them to put his name forward.
