Courier & Press: New Consolidated District Will Hire Staff From New Harmony School

    In January, we took you to one of Indiana’s oldest school districts in the middle of a consolidation with a neighboring district. Now, the Evansville Courier & Press reports most of the staff at New Harmony’s school will be hired by the North Posey School District.

    At least eight teachers and four noncertified employees from New Harmony’s soon-to-close school will be offered jobs for next school year with the Metropolitan School District of North Posey. The New Harmony school, which has grades K-12 in one building and has long operated as an independent public school district, is consolidating with North Posey after the current school year.
