School Bus Ads Could Help Struggling Districts – Indiana News Story – WRTV Indianapolis Faced with growing budget constraints, school districts and state lawmakers are considering a proposal that would allow advertisements on the sides of school buses. Senate Bill 226, authored by State Sen. Pat Miller, R-Indianapolis, would require the state school bus committee to adopt rules that allow paid advertisements on buses. (WRTV Indianapolis)

Now one local lawmaker is looking at implementing some guidelines on school transfers. State Representative Mike Karickhoff is the author of legislation that will prevent schools from selectively accepting transfer students. Bill Banning National Anthem Embellishments Won’t Get Vote | Fox News An Indiana legislator’s proposal for a state law on how the national anthem should be performed won’t get a vote this session. The proposal from Republican Sen. Vaneta Becker of Evansville would have required any performance of “The Star-Spangled Banner” in any public place performed in its entirety and without embellishment. She had earlier proposed a bill for the state education department to set standards for singing and playing of the national anthem at public schools. (FOX News)
