    Group Gets $2M To Begin Takeover Of Failing Schools-RTV6 The turnaround operator chosen by the state to takeover three failing Indianapolis schools is getting $2 million to begin the process. RTV6 obtained the contract between the Indiana Department of Education and Florida-based Charter Schools USA, which is tasked with turning around Indianapolis Public Schools’ Emmerich Manual High School, Howe High School and Emma Donna Middle School.     Schools to Mitch: Share The New-found Cash-Post Tribune Area school leaders are full of suggestions for Gov. Mitch Daniels now that the state has a extra $300 million in its back pocket. Daniels announced Tuesday that $300 million was discovered in state accounts after apparently being misplaced. Two years ago, Daniels trimmed public school budgets across the state by $300 million, saying the cuts were needed for Indiana to survive the recession. On Wednesday, Gary School Board President Darren Washington said the money should be given back to schools.     School Districts Struggle With Enrollment Swings- Herald Bulletin While Madison County’s population continues to decrease, the population of the different school districts tell varying stories. In South Madison and Frankton-Lapel school corporations., the past few years have shown an increase in transfer students. “I don’t think there’s any doubt public education has become competitive,” said Joe Buck, superintendent of South Madison Community School Corp.
