The year’s biggest opportunity to get rooted in Bloomington’s gardening community is fast approaching, and we have your look at what’s in store.

For those green to the Bloomington Garden Walk, it’s a tour of some of Bloomington’s most impressive outdoor spaces all around the city. There’s a wide array of flowers, trees, edibles and more, all brought together by striking landscaping and outdoor architecture.

It’s put on by the Bloomington Garden Club, a longstanding community of planters and pruners who come together to share their love of gardening while also raising money for local programs and beautification efforts.

One hundred percent of the walk’s proceeds go to the club’s grant programs. Last year, that money went to Community Kitchen of Monroe County, Hilltop Garden and Nature Center, Childs Elementary School PTO and several others.
