January 2010 Programming

Learn about some of the programs scheduled for this month of WFIU.

Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me! Begins airing Saturday, January 16.

Says You!, another great favorite, moves to noon, followed by Earth Eats.

For those of you who enjoy all three programs, you’ll have it all – just at different times. Classical music fans will lose an hour of music on Saturday, but will gain an hour on Sunday evenings at 9 p.m.  Please note that Wait Wait . . . Don’t Tell Me! also airs on WFIU HD2 on Saturday’s at 1 p.m.

You might want to check out Profiles which airs on Sundays at 7 p.m. on WFIU HD1, and repeats on WFIU HD2 on Tuesdays at 7 p.m.

Indiana Senator Richard Lugar is the guest on January 17th at 7 p.m.  This is an unusual interview.  It was shot for television, and “retrofitted” for radio.  Perry Metz, our Executive Director is the host.

The January 24th episode features Audrey McCluskey, IU associate professor of African American and African Diaspora Studies.

The January 31st episode features Carol Vaness – a well known name in operatic circles  - interviewed by Peter Jacobi.

WFIU will carry the Governor’s State of the State address Tuesday January 19 at 7 p.m., followed by an analysis.  And for those who would like to watch the Governor as well as listen to his speech, tune in to simultaneous coverage on our sister station, WTIU.
