World War II Photographer Malcolm Fleming

Malcolm “Mac” Fleming served as a World War II U.S. Army Signal Corps photographer from 1942–1945, capturing images of significant events in the European theater.

Fleming taught photography at Indiana University, where he is a Professor Emeritus of Education. His website contains more than 300 of his photos.

This year the IU Press published a selection of his photos taken in postwar Germany, From War to Peace in 1945 Germany: A GI’s Experience.
