Soprano Angela Brown

Angela Brown is noted for her vocal power, high pianissimos, and larger-than-life personality.

She frequently performs as soloist for major works such as Beethoven's Symphony No. 9, Brahms' A German Requiem, and Verdi's Requiem.

She made her Carnegie Hall debut as Cassandra in the American premiere of Agamemnon by Russian composer Taneyev.

A 1997 National Metropolitan Opera Council Auditions Winner, she studied voice at Oakwood College in Huntsville, Alabama, with Ginger Beazley, and attended IU as a student of Virginia Zeani.

Brown brings operatic and classical vocal performance to a diverse audience with her recital program Opera from a Sistah's Point of View.
