Writer And Media Critic Ken Auletta

I don't do a profile of anyone where I don't say, in my initial encounters with them, 'Look, if I do my job, I promise you they'll be things you won't like in this piece.' - Ken Auletta

Ken Auletta is an American writer, journalist, and media critic who has written the “Annals of Communications” column for The New Yorker since 1992. He was among the first to popularize the idea of the “information superhighway.”

Auletta is the author of ten books, including Three Blind Mice: How the TV Networks Lost Their Way, The Highwaymen: Warriors of the Information Superhighway, and World War 3.0: Microsoft and Its Enemies. He has profiled leading media figures including Bill Gates, Rupert Murdoch, and Ted Turner.
