Journalist and CEO Paul Tash

Paul Tash in dark suit jacket, red tie, blue dress shirt, glasses

I had a very full life at IU, both in the classroom at the [Indiana] Daily Student . . . . I think it also taught me how to make use of my time.

Paul Tash started with the Tampa Bay Times in 1978 as a local news reporter, followed by posts as city editor, metropolitan editor, Washington bureau chief, and editor of the newspaper.

Tash is chairman of the Poynter Institute for Media Studies, a school for journalists and media leaders. He also is the past chairman of the Pulitzer Prize board and serves on the boards of the Associated Press and the Committee to Protect Journalists.

In 2013, he was inducted into the Indiana Journalism Hall of Fame the following year.
