Jazz Host and Attorney "Brother" William Morris

William Morris outdoors in beige coat over brown sweater and red tie, with goatee.

When I was born . . . my parents had to give me up because they could not get married at that time due to the legislation that forbid interracial marriage.

William Morris is the host of WFIU’s jazz program Just You and Me on Friday afternoons, for which he created the upbeat “Soul Kitchen” featuring funky jazz, R&B, gospel, and rock.

He came to the station after five years of volunteering at community radio station WFHB, where he hosted such programs as the Tuesday Afternoon Music Mix, Hora Latina, and The Jazz Menagerie.

A full-time staff attorney at Indiana Legal Services, Morris previously was in a private practice that concentrated on civil rights and employment discrimination.
