Historian Robert Dallek

Robert Dallek is an historian specializing in American presidents. He recently retired as professor of history at Boston University and has previously taught at Columbia University, UCLA, and Oxford. He has won the Bancroft Prize and numerous other awards for scholarship and teaching. Dallek studies United States history: diplomatic history, foreign policy and public opinion; New Deal diplomacy; and the professional diplomat. His books include: An Unfinished Life: John F. Kennedy, 1917 - 1963, Nixon and Kissinger: Partners in Power, and Flawed Giant: Lyndon B. Johnson, 1960-1973. Owen Johnson is the host.
