Comic, Actor, and Podcast Host Hari Kondabolu

Hari Kondabolu outside in front of a white wall, wearing black horn-rimmed glasses, blue demin shirt open at neck, opened gray zippered sweatshirt, looking a bit confused.

I learned that when things aren't given to you, you create your own space. I created my space; it was a space that didn't exist.

Brooklyn-based Hari Kondabolu was a writer for Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell and has done standup comedy on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Conan, and on his own episode of Comedy Central Presents. He has also performed at such festivals as the HBO Comedy Festival, South by Southwest, and Just for Laughs in Montreal and Chicago. When in New York City, he co-hosts the mostly improvised talk show The Untitled Kondabolu Brothers Project with his brother Ashok.

In the UK, he has appeared on BBC 3's Good News, Live at the Electric, and Channel 4's 8 out 10 Cats. He also performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

A regular on the public radio circuit, he has appeared on Fresh Air, Morning Edition, All Things Considered, and other programs.

In 2014 he released his debut standup album Waiting for 2042 on indie label Kill Rock Stars.

Kondabolu has also worked as an immigrant rights organizer in Seattle for the organization Hate Free Zone.
