"I want to convey the beauty and pain of lived, bodily experience. I am drawn particularly to images of daily beauty, such as cosmetics, clothing, food, and plants, juxtaposed with images of the daily grotesque: toothaches, bad smells, scars, little wounds, mucus, bruises, bone aches."

- Emily Corwin
