Poverty Rates in Indiana

Homeless man in Indianapolis

One in three Vigo County children lived in poverty in 2009, according to the Annie E Casey Foundation, and Terre Haute Mayor Duke Bennett says the city is doing all it can to get businesses to move back into the area to alleviate the poverty.
