Monroe County Creates Guardianship Program For Adults

Old People Crossing

Many aging adults have no one who can assist them when they face health problems or other issues.

Monroe County announced last week the creation of a new guardianship program that will find volunteers who can advocate for seniors and incapacitated adults.

Under the new program, judge-appointed volunteers would be able to help with health care and financial decisions.

This week on Noon Edition we spoke with two people helping to create the new program.

Our guests:

  • Kerry Conway, Area 10 Agency on Aging
  • Chris Gaal, Monroe County Prosecuting Attorney

You can ask questions each week by joining our live chat, following us on Twitter @NoonEdition or by calling in to the program at (812) 855-0811.

Noon Edition airs every Friday at 12 p.m.
