The group bought the 600 acres of woodland in Brown County from a group of investors who have owned the land since the 1980s.
The new regulations apply to wood coming from all counties in the state. Old regulations affected only firewood from certain counties.
The City of Bloomington has approved funding to develop a switchyard on the B-line trail to a park.
