A bill allowing people to use force against police illegally entering their homes took a step closer to the governor’s desk Thursday.
A legislative committee says an earlier court ruling had some people worried that police were immune to a law against illegal entry into one's home.
The bulk of public testimony the committee heard decried the Barnes decision, saying the Court had taken away their constitutional right to protect one’s home.
