The Super Bowl, in Indianapolis, will be available on a live internet stream.

The Super Bowl is expected to have an even bigger audience.   For the first time ever, NBC and the National Football League have agreed to live stream the Super Bowl. The game will be available at nfl.com and nbcsports.com as well as via the NFL mobile from Verizon app. NBC and the NFL started live streaming select football games in 2008, but this is the first time the organizations have agreed to show playoff games online. Dom Caristi, associate telecommunications professor, Ball State University, says it‘s is a pretty good partnership for everybody involved. He says the game is on NBC and NBC is owned by Comcast. Caristi says, “Comcast just doesn‘t sell you cable they also sell you your internet connection. And look at who the mobile phone partner is- its Verizon.”  He says the internet availability will undoubtedly boost the game‘s overall audience.
