The Milan ’54 Hoosiers Museum in Ripley County is receiving funding to create a video project that will interview members of Milan’s historic basketball team.
In 1954, Milan High School had an enrollment of only 161, according to the museum, but they won the Indiana state title.
The small town’s victory was later portrayed in the 1986 film “Hoosiers” which stared Gene Hackman.
