IU's John Sandberg hoisted the Old Oaken Bucket in victory following IU's 27-24 defeat of Purdue Nov. 17, 2007, at Memorial Stadium in Bloomington. Teammates Brandon Walker-Roby (from left), Josiah Sears, Terrance Turner and Isaac Price joined in the celebration.

The face-off for the coveted Old Oaken Bucket trophy between the Indiana and Purdue University football teams will play out at Memorial Stadium this Saturday.

In a press conference Monday, Head Coach Kevin Wilson said even though the team is “cosmetically disappointed” with where they are at right now, this game could be a good chance to end on a strong note against a strong opponent.

“We’re sitting here with 4 wins, needing 5. We’re not going to be a bowl team,” he said in a press conference Monday. “We need to have success, have a great week and put ourselves in position to have our best week of practice, our best play against our rival.”

Kickoff begins at 3:30.
