Indiana Attorney General Urging Credit Freezes For Hoosiers

The surcharge

The Indiana Attorney General’s office is urging Hoosiers to freeze their credit following a recent data breach at Fort Wayne-based Medical Informatics Engineering and its subsidiary, NoMoreClipboard.

The breach may have affected 1.5 million Hoosiers and nearly 4 million people nationwide.

The attorney general’s office says it’s investigating the breach and monitoring the situation.

The firms provide electronic medical records to health care providers. The breach compromised social security numbers, lab results, medical conditions and health plan information.

Hoosiers can sign up for free credit freezes for all three credit bureaus at IndianaConsumer.com.
