Flags at Half Staff in Marion County for Fallen Officer

The Indianapolis community is responding to the death of Indianapolis metropolitan police officer David Moore. Moore died Wednesday after being shot during a traffic stop Sunday.

Governor Mitch Daniels has ordered that flags in Marion County be lowered to half-staff in honor of the officer. In addition, Mayor Greg Ballard postponed his State of the City address due to what Ballard’s spokeswoman Paula Freund called a “senseless act of violence.”

Moore’s funeral will be held Tuesday in the Conseco Fieldhouse.
