Demolition of the Columbus Clarion Hotel and Conference Center should be done by early March.
Columbus Regional Health announced in July it purchased the property for $4.25 million at a Bartholomew County foreclosure auction.
Columbus Regional Health Spokesperson Kelsey DeClue says the rubble that doesn’t have to go to the landfill is being recycled or used as infill on the property.
A portion of the land will be used for specialty outpatient and medical offices. The rest will be used for other community needs such as lodging or retail.
