Guns, drugs and cash were seized during a raid by the Bloomington Police Department on Wednesday.

The Bloomington Police Department arrested 11 people Wednesday morning for various drug charges at the Southern Winds Inn Apartments, according to Bloomington police.

BPD confiscated a 9 mm Ruger handgun, approximately 40-50 grams of cocaine, 40 grams of heroin and $5,100 in cash after raiding four apartments at around 5:30 a.m.

Ten were arrested at the scene, located at 3000 S. Walnut Street, and another suspect was arrested several hours later near a motel in the 1700 block of N. Walnut Street.

Bloomington Police Department drug investigators, detectives and uniform personnel and a Critical Incident Response Team were involved in the operation. Police say the raid was the result of a three month investigation.
