A wind chill advisory is now in effect until noon Monday.
Forecasters are predicting wind chills to drop as low as 20 degrees below zero. Those temperatures could cause frostbite on exposed skin within 30 minutes.
A few counties such as Brown, Bartholomew, Lawrence, Owen, and Greene are under a travel "Watch" meaning road conditions are dangerous and should be limited to essential travel only.

SATURDAY 8:00 P.M. UPDATE
Snow will continue to move across much of central and southern Indiana this evening. National Weather Service forecasters say heavy snow with 40 MPH wind gusts may cause white-out conditions.

SATURDAY 11:00 A.M. UPDATE
A winter storm warning is in effect for much of Indiana today into tonight as rain turns to snow this afternoon.
Forecasters are predicting 4 to 6 inches of snow in the northern part of the state with 1 to 4 inches southeast. Light ice accumulations are also expected.
The mixed precipitation will combine with 35 MPH wind gusts and much colder air causing blowing snow and icy conditions. Wind chills could fall below zero at times.
Freezing rain is being reported in Delaware, Madison and Randolph counties causing isolated power outages.
Motorists should be prepared for hazardous road conditions.

FRIDAY UPDATE
Forecasters are predicting heavy amounts of mixed precipitation this weekend.
A winter storm warning takes effect early Saturday morning for most of central and northern Indiana. National Weather Service officials are predicting 4 to 7 inches of snow along with light ice accumulations.
A winter weather advisory for south central Indiana also takes effect Saturday afternoon until early Sunday morning. The forecast calls for two inches of snow and light icing.
40 MPH wind gusts could make for low visibilities. Travel conditions could become difficult this weekend.
The Indiana Department of Transportation is calling out all trucks for the weekend. Drivers will work 12 hour shifts starting at midnight. Around 50 INDOT trucks will be covering Indianapolis with about 200 trucks throughout Central Indiana.

THURSDAY UPDATE
A winter storm watch is in effect from late Friday night through late Saturday night for central Indiana.
Forecasters are predicting up to 3 to 5 inches of snow and light ice accumulations. Wind gusts could reach as high as 35 MPH.
Travel conditions could become difficult this weekend.
