Music of Nicola Porpora

Two recordings of music by Italian baroque composer Nicola Porpora.

This week’s edition features a Hyperion release of cantatas composed by Nicola Porpora and performed by soprano Elena Cecchi Fedi and ensemble Auser Musici. We’ll also listen to an earlier release of music by Porpora and others on the Virgin Classics label with countertenor Phillipe Jaroussky and Le Concert D’Astree.
