The Piano Guys

The Piano Guys comprise four talented artists who perform instrumental covers of contemporary pop and rock hits. The group includes pianist John Schmidt, cellist Steven Sharp, music producer Al Van Der Beek, and videographer Paul Anderson. The quartet began working together in 2010 and uploaded their music on Youtube. The Piano Guys quickly gained traction and began amassing millions of views. Many of their works, which combine pop, rock, and classical, incorporate cinematic visuals, courtesy of Anderson.

Aside from music videos, The Piano Guys have also released records since 2011. Their debut album, Hits Volume 1, topped Billboard’s New Age chart and peaked at number 7 on the Classical chart. The following year, the quartet entered the Billboard 200 chart, peaking at number 44, upon releasing their self-titled sophomore effort. The album later earned gold status in the U.S. after selling more than 500,000 copies. The Piano Guys released eight more critically-acclaimed efforts, including their latest release, Lullaby, in 2021.
