“Educating the community about how to resolve conflict is a big part of what we do at CJAM.” – Susan Burton, Executive Director
The Community Justice and Mediation Center, CJAM, offers mediation and training to those in need. Their mission is to promote a civil and just community through mediation, education and restorative justice. CJAM works toward their mission with a variety of services that include education and conflict mediation.
Mediation
Community and small-claims mediation are available through CJAM. The types of conflict vary, but the process includes consistently providing a neutral mediator. A third party mediator helps CJAM stay neutral and resolve interpersonal conflicts.
Training
Executive Director Susan Burton says, “Educating the community about how to resolve conflict is a big part of what we do at CJAM.” The mediation trainings are offered to businesses, small groups, and the public.A 32 hour basic mediation training is available to those looking to learn more about conflict mediation.
