A Place For Film - Reviewing Slapsticon

A still from a Harold Lloyd silent film

Episode 136 - Reviewing Slapsticon

On this week's episode, we're reviewing Slapsticon. Slapsticon is a silent comedy film festival that played at the Cinema recently with live piano accompaniment. Joining me is Andy Uhrich from the IU Film Archive. Jason is out this week.

We skip What Have You Seen Lately and go right into the Slapsticon review. There's tons to talk about in this amazing event. We discuss all of our favorites, and how the films opened our eyes to the breadth of silent film comedy. We also discuss the atmosphere of the festival, and what we learned by watching so many silent comedies in a row.
