Steve Earle: Singing His Own Tunes
Steve Earle is an American singer-songwriter in the truest sense of the word.
He started out as a songwriter in Nashville in 1975, writing songs for many great artists in Nashville like Carl Perkins, Vince Gill and Patty Loveless. He finally came into his own in 1986 with his first solo album, "Guitar Town." Since then, he has been releasing albums at a staggering pace, with over 20 recordings, both studio and live. He will come to Bloomington as part of a tour supporting his new album "I'll Never Get Out Of This World Alive."

Junior Brown: Guit Outta Here
While Junior Brown has had several songs place in the country music charts, he's never really achieved the success of many mainstream country singers. However, since the early 1990s, this Austin, Texas native has gained a substantial and loyal cult following that never misses his shows.
What stands out about Junior Brown is his guitar playing. He plays a guit-steel, a single-body instrument with a typical six-string guitar on top and a lap steel on the bottom. He can stand and sing while switching between the two parts of the guitar with amazing deftness. If you enjoy good country rock and mind-blowing guitar playing, don't miss this show.

Unknown Mortal Orchestra: A Band On The Verge
Unknown Mortal Orchestra is the kind of band that could rise to the top very quickly.
UMO was formed by Ruban Nielson, a New Zealander transplanted to Portland, Oregon. The project spawned from his desire to break from the musical success he had already gained from his previous band, Mint Chicks. He took a more relaxed, experimental approach by recording the first demos for UMO at home over a long period of time. The band has managed to create some true pop-psych gems that have stunned the indie rock world.
