Into The Tomb Of A Mayan King

A team of archaeologists have just stumbled upon a well-preserved resting place, tucked down under El Diablo, an ancient pyramid in Guatemala.

This tomb, they believe, belongs to an ancient Mayan king.

After picking and probing through layers and layers of combat earth, they finally uncovered some pretty amazing cultural relics.

Among these treasures, the team found textiles, painted ceramics, wood carvings, even some human remains. The bones of six children were buried along with the man they suspect was an important ruler, perhaps the founder of a Mayan dynasty.

This hypothesis is supported not only by the richness found within the tomb, but the time in which it's dated, 350 to 400 AD.
