In 1955, EmArcy Records, the jazz subsidiary to Mercury Records, capitalized on the new hi-fi home audio market by releasing a series of LPs all titled In The Land of Hi-Fi with some of their biggest jazz stars. This hour on the program, we'll feature the three singers who ventured into the land of hi-fi, the jazz singers Sarah Vaughan and Dinah Washington, and pop star Patti Page.
