Live From Jacobs: Weiss-Kaplan-Newman Trio

A live broadcast from IU's Auer Hall Thursday, July 10, at 8 p.m.

Pianist Yael Weiss, violinist Mark Kaplan, and cellist Clancy Newman.

The latest in our occasional on-air series of “Live from Jacobs” concerts features the Weiss-Kaplan-Newman Trio. WFIU music director Joe Goetz will host as the trio performs live at Auer Hall at the IU Jacobs School of Music on Thursday, July 10, at 8 p.m.

Pianist Yael Weiss, violinist Mark Kaplan, and cellist Clancy Newman are scheduled to offer piano trios by Ludwig van Beethoven, Antonin Dvorak, and contemporary composer Lera Auerbach.

The program is part of the Jacobs School’s Summer Music series, and also serves as a homecoming of sorts for Yael Weiss, who has been an Associate Professor of Chamber Music at Jacobs.

Our regular Thursday night program lineup, including Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center and Harmonia, will return as scheduled on Thursday the 17th.
