WFIU goes “Live from Jacobs” again on Monday, July 14!
The Grammy-winning Pacifica Quartet, the quartet-in-residence at the IU Jacobs School of Music, will present two string quartets by Dmitri Shostakovich, along with Alfred Schnittke’s String Quartet No. 3. The program draws from the quartet’s much-lauded recent recordings of string quartets by Shostakovich and his contemporaries.
Listen in Monday at 8 p.m. as WFIU music director Joe Goetz hosts this special live broadcast from Auer Hall on the IU campus. The regular Monday evening Chicago Symphony Orchestra broadcast will return on the 21st.
