John C. Walter: My War

Columbus' John C. Walter has written a new book detailing his days as a B-17 bomber pilot in World War II, flying 35 missions over Germany in 1944 and 1945.

The Atterbury-Bakalar Air Museum in Columbus, Indiana, has preserved much of the military history of Hoosier aviators.  Get hours and directions at: atterburybakalarmuseum.org.
