Li-Young Lee has been called “one of the finest young poets alive” by the American Poetry Review. In his poems, Lee reflects on the obstacles in which he has faced in his own life. In “The Winged Seed: A Remembrance,” Lee retells the story of his parents’ escape from Indonesia and the political confinement they faced there.
