Ross Gay, IU professor in the MFA poetry program, speaks with poet Nikky Finney.

Award winning poet Eugene Gloria was raised in San Francisco and currently teaches Creative Writing at DePauw University. His work can be seen in a variety of different publications, including the North American Review.
Raised in southern Indiana, poet Richard Newman now teaches at Washington University and St. Louis Community College. Many of his poems have been highlighted on The Writer’s Almanac.
Li-Young Lee has been called “one of the finest young poets alive” by the American Poetry Review. In his poems, Lee reflects on the obstacles in which he has faced in his own life. In “The Winged Seed: A Remembrance,” Lee retells the story of his parents’ escape from Indonesia and the political confinement they faced there.
Anya Peterson Royce is a professor of Anthropology and Comparative Literature at Indiana University. She also works as a Professor in the Ballet Department.
