Jan Gross studies modern Europe, focusing on comparative politics, totalitarian and authoritarian regimes, Soviet and East European politics, and the Holocaust.
Robert Dallek is an historian specializing in American presidents. He has won the Bancroft Prize and numerous other awards for scholarship and teaching. Dallek studies United States history: diplomatic history, foreign policy and public opinion; New Deal diplomacy; and the professional diplomat.
At age 23, Sallyann Murphy was the youngest TV producer for the British Broadcasting Corporation. Murphy has gone on to work as an investigative journalist for a variety of publications, including the Daily Mail. She now teaches history and media studies at Harmony High School in Bloomington, Indiana.
