Professor Emeritus Juan Orrego-Salas

Chilean-born Juan Orrego-Salas has enjoyed a very distinguished career in composition and music education. He established and served as the first director of the Latin Ameircan Music Center at Indiana University. Orrego-Salas has received commissions from the National Symphony of Washington, D.C., the Louisville Orchestra, and a slew of universities. He has given lectures in colleges and cultural institutions across the globe, including Chile, Argentina, Spain, France, Russia, and elsewhere. Orrego-Salas retired from Indiana University in 1987.
