Eric Weisbard is a former music editor at The Village Voice who teaches American Studies at the University of Alabama. He has edited the collections This Is Pop: In Search of the Elusive at Experience Music Project and Listen Again: A Momentary History of American Music. His newest book is Top 40 Democracy: The Rival Mainstreams of American Music.
