Harpist Susann McDonald

World famous harpist Susann McDonald sits down with Profiles for an interview.

One of the world’s leading authorities on the harp, Susann McDonald is Distinguished Professor of Music and Chair of the Harp Department at the IU School of Music. She studied at the Paris Conservatory and was the first American harpist to receive the prestigious Premier Prix de Harpe. She has recorded much of the major harp literature, published many volumes of harp music, and taught and served as mentor to hundreds of harpists, many of whom now hold prestigious orchestra positions in the U.S. and abroad. She joins host Bob Willard for an hour of conversation about the harp.
