Will Murphy has been working in radio since 1979, when he started out at a country radio station in Lander, WY. He includes soapmaking and baking as his off-duty hobbies, and shares a house with his wife Becky, two dogs (Quincy and Cullen), and a cat (Caliban).
NPR’s Michelle Norris has been in broadcast journalism for nearly 20 years. Prior to co-hosting NPR’s All Things Considered, Norris worked as a correspondent for ABC’s World New Tonight. She talks with WFIU News Director Will Murphy.
Economist Amartya Kumar Sen won a Nobel Prize for his work on hunger, heman development, and the causes of poverty. He is currently Professor of Economics and Philosophy at Harvard University.
In March of 1994, Dr. William Schulz began serving as Executive Director of Amnesty International USA. A strong advocate for human rights, the New York Review of Books commented on his contributions, saying “Schulz… has done more than anyone in the American human rights movement…”.
