Steve Kroft has been a reporter on the news program 60 Minutes since 1989. Originally from Kokomo, Kroft began his career in TV reportage in Syracuse, New York in 1972 and later in Jacksonville, Florida. He has covered myriad events and issues in his tenure at CBS, from the war in El Salvador to the assassination of Indira Gandhi. He is perhaps best recalled for his exclusive 1992 interview with then-candidate Bill Clinton and his wife Hillary after allegations of Clinton’s affair with Gennifer Flowers had reached the press. He has received three George Foster Peabody Awards and eleven Emmy awards, including a Lifetime Achievement Emmy. Owen Johnson hosts.
