Kevin Eldridge grew up in the San Bernardino mountains of Southern California. His first piece of writing was an anti-smoking poem he was made to write in second grade, which won a local Red Ribbon Week contest. He is in his third year of studies in pursuit of an MFA in poetry at IU, where he has identified his poetic heroes as Walt Whitman, ee cummings, and Chuang-tzu.
