Poets Weave
Author Khaled Mattawa is the author of two books of poetry and has translated several books of Arab poetry. Host Jenny Kander reads a selection of poems from his book Ismailia Eclipse (Sheep Meadow Press, 1996). He was born in Libya and moved to the U.S. during his teen years.
Author and poet Elsa Marston Harik reads an excerpt of the story “In Line” from her latest book Santa Claus in Baghdad – And Other Stories about Teens in the Arab World (Indiana University Press, 2008).
A fresh and interesting voice on The Poets Weave, we read from the poet A. Loudermilk’s book Strange Valentine.
