The Future of Gun Control

Gun Control

Gun sales are experiencing record numbers this year, but a series of high profile mass shootings has revitalized a national conversation about gun control. Last week the New York Times ran a front page editorial, the first time the paper has done so since 1920, pushing for more stringent laws.

The State of Connecticut banned the sale of guns Thursday to those on a terrorism watch list, as President Obama recommended during his recent address.

This week on Noon Edition, we spoke with local experts about whether we can expect to see stricter gun laws.

Our guests:

  • Professor Jody Madeira, Professor of Law at the Maurer School of Law, Indiana University
  • Indiana State Senator Brent Waltz, District 36 Senator
  • Rachel Guglielmo, Moms Demand Action
