Billie Holiday

Billie Holiday, one of my first jazz loves and still one of my greatest, died 50 years ago today at the age of 44. In tribute and remembrance, here are a few tributes to Billie, on and off Night Lights:

  • Grange Lady Haig Rutan

    Dear David Brent Johnson,

I salute you! And my love for you runs deep!

Couldn’t sleep and wouldn’t sleep and somehow i found your delightful spot. I’m impressed, especially with the wayne shorter songbook and a farewell to billie.

    To be continued
