Monroe County residents take advantage of early voting prior to the May 8 primary.
All registered voters in Monroe County should have received a bright yellow voter card last week from the Election Board. The message on the card reads ‘bring this card to the polls.’
Monroe County Clerk Linda Robbins says it has caused confusion among voters. Robbins says she’s been fielding calls from voters concerned they won’t be able to vote unless they have the card. Robbins says this is not the case.
She says her office sent out the cards in an attempt to make it easier for voters to know the location of their polling spot. The card contains the voter’s new polling location as well as their new Precinct location.
