Winter Weather Advisory Extended

The winter weather advisory has been extended and is now in effect until 9 Wednesday morning.

The snow in Bloomington made bicycling an undesirable form of transportation for many on Tuesday.

Snow showers are predicted to continue through Wednesday with accumulations of another inch. Forecasters at the National Weather Service say 20 Mile Per Hour winds will cause blowing and drifting during the overnight hours.

The winter weather advisory has been extended and is now in effect until 9 Wednesday morning. Overall storm totals of 3 to 6 inches across most of central Indiana and 2 to 4 inches south of Terre Haute are expected by tomorrow evening.

3.6 inches of snow is being reported so far this afternoon in Bloomington, Morgan County reports 3.2 inches, Indianapolis International Airport 3.5 inches and 4 inches of snow in Medora of Jackson County. Southern Indiana saw less snowfall as Dubois County reports 2 inches and Salem 3 inches of snow.

Another storm system is in the forecast heading into the weekend.
